Jen Lewin’s site-specific, interactive sculpture Aqueous made its third visit to Descanso Gardens’s exhibit, Enchanted Forest of Light. Created in 2017, Aqueous invites all participants to move on, among and around the sculpture, engaging in the Art of Play.

Derived from the Golden Ratio, each platform in Aqueous is created from a custom, rotationally molded form. During the day, Aqueous’ surface reflects the sky, audience and surrounding environment. At night, Aqueous will engages visitors as they walk along its surface watching as their actions create swirling eddies of light.
