2007’s iteration of Ingenuity saw American contemporary installation artist Jen Lewin exhibit the Arc Harp. A sound and light based installation, the Arc Harp is part of Jen Lewin’s Laser Harp Series, Arc Harp is a 60 string light sculptures designed for public play. Each of the light strings in the Harps can sense user movement, speed and tempo. Individual strings will mix its own library of sounds to create a depth and tone that compliments public activity and random or organized musical play. These harps make up part of the largest Laser Harp collection in the world.
