An interactive traveling pool of light that illuminates at night, and reflects it surroundings by day

REFLECT is an immersive experience in which play activates swirling pools of color and light. During the day, dichroic film on the platforms mirror the sky, creating a surreal space. Daytime visitors will experience a sensation as if they were swimming through clouds, while nighttime viewers will be met with a cosmic expanse of light. Inspired by organic patterns found in nature, Lewin developed platforms that contain vibration-sensing technology that changes color in response to touch—encouraging viewers to actively participate in an ever-changing composition. 

REFLECT is a recent addition to Lewin’s “Have Art, Will Travel” program, a series of interactive sculptures that travel the globe for exhibitions. It has traveled to Tokyo as part of COSMOS, and was most recently exhibited at Domino Park in Brooklyn.
